Hi!  I've received a notification email about a thread 'Letting go' in Dutch!!!  How come?

It looked suspiciously like spam to me, and I didn't want to open it....do notification emails come in other languages than English?  The poster is from the Netherlands, though I can't imagine why I should receive an email in Dutch!  I've alwys received emails in English.

Responses eagerly awaited....as I'm very careful of Spam emails!

I get them, too. It probably is a country of origin thing built into the BBS software. We'll let David Answer, though.

Right, it's something in the forum software that detects language of computer of origin.  Nothing to get alarmed about and also nothing we can do about it. The vast majority of our posts come from English speaking countries but some do trigger the notification software to write in other languages.

Thanks for the explanation.  I'm relieved it wasn't spam.

I got it twice, and I was so happy to see it! To be a habitant of the Netherlands is a goal, a destiny of mine, and so the mail helps me to feel part of it already ::hearts ::cool ::bow ::tramp ::VE-Earth
