Members have reported now and then that they are unable to see the names of members who are currently online at a given time.
David has the board software set so that this should always be visible, even to non-members who are "surfing" the site. (they cannot open profiles however).
So this means that ANYONE looking at the forum's Main Page should see:
We have ***** members, *****topics, ****** posts.
Please welcome our newest member *****. Enjoy the forum!
** users online (** members, ** guests, * invisible). Members logged in 30 minutes ago or less: ***************list of members****************
If you do not see this information on the mainpage... would you please let us know so we can investigate this glitch?
Remember, to check if all is well with this you have to be on the forum homepage. Just click anywhere on the LOGO in the upper left part of your screen, and then scroll to the bottom to see if the info is visible.
Another note: If you wish NOT to be seen as "online", you have the option in your own preferences to set that you want to be "invisible". Then your username will not appear in that information on the front page.
And one MORE note: Sometimes people say they appear as logged in when they are not. This is apparently due to something in your own computer settings - it "remembers" that you were logged in last time you went to the site, and the software will show you as logged out only 30 minutes after you actually leave, so if you turned your computer off less than 30 minutes after logging out.... (or something like that  - this is getting to techie for me, but I thought I'd mention it!  )

At the moment that I copied the info it said we had 2333 members! Quite a nice lined up number! (of course, we welcome number 2334 anytime!)

I have always been able to see who is online, as of today that information is gone. I´m sure it will reappear any moment now - my powerful intention.

Here - it´s on and off - I cannot detect any "system" - meaning I could not say that it is on or off at certain times
btw - this morning gone, now it´s there

I have never seen such information on my screen and been wondering where should I search it from. I'm using Mac, maybe that's why??!!

You've never seen it? That's a new one.. I know people say it comes and goes.. it does for me as well, and we haven't been able to figure out why. But.. it should appear at the bottom of the page, just on the homepage of the forum. Click the forum logo and scroll down. Do you see the number of people online and a list of members online? That's where it would be.
Again, if you don't see it, I don't know why. It seems to be working right now. Maybe someone else with a MAC computer can verify that it does work from those as well? Also, could it be a browser problem.
David, do you have any more information?
