I'm a bit of a computer newbie, and am having difficulty downloading a jpeg into the browse setting. I've read the other threads on setting an avatar yet when I do, nothing happens. Thankyou for any help!

Hi Infinitelove,
After you upload your avatar, refresh your page. If you still don't see it in your posts, try restarting your computer. If you STILL don't see your avatar.. hmmm... you could send the picture file to David and he'll have a go.
Just to make sure you are following the instructions:
Go to my account > avatar> browse
When you have chosen your image, click "open", and then "upload". You should see your image in the window under "currently active avatar". If you do, all is well, and if you don't see it right away next to your posts, just restart as mentioned above.

Just a thought......
Do you have the picture/jpeg on your computer and when you hit browse are you searching and finding the picture from the (file upload) menu that "browse" gives you?
If so, you are doing it right!

Oh, that reminds me - the image has to be stored in your computer - you can't bring it in from the internet as you can say, a smiley in a post. Thanks for reminding me Alix.
And um... aren't we glad YOU know how to upload an avatar.... ...otherwise we wouldn't be able to see that ridiculous (um I mean really nice) fried egg....

Im just having a bit of a j/yoke for a while
 (the actual egg that Jody was refering too!!)
and soon I will go back to me in the avatar .............
Seriously tho guys........ avatar changes are easy........ just do a "search" for all the good advise already given!!
