Carol,
Your new avatar is lovely--but, I really loved the photo of you napping with your chicken. I am shameless about changing avatars when I get a cute photo of Adler or Arden. I an just a fool for my Grand Darlings.
Jody--when we hit 2,000 members maybe you could give us some of those cherries instead of a cyber sundae?

| Here's me, napping with Louise her first night home for rehab before her surgery. By the way, she's now fully integrated with the rest of the flock, but still loves her special snuggle time! Attachment: DSCF1897.jpg (Downloaded 104 times)

I've been inspired now to change mine....a brave ever increasing self-loving me.
I love your new avatar. I love seeing everyone's faces. My preference. My pie.
And besides we are all of our greatest creations, right?
Wish we could all see that which is not visible, within. But that manifests without too doesn't it? And seeing eachother through Sources eyes is how we see that. Nice!

I agree with you Richann. I love seeing the faces of the members as well. And yet I respect anyone's decision to remain anonymous on the forum, either in name or in appearance or in both, and when people do choose to reveal themselves I feel it's a gift and I respect that as well. (Avatars with EYES are the ones that reveal the most about the person - I really think it's all in the eyes...) .
Or course it's absolutely fine as well to participate in the forum with no avatar, or with an avatar that expresses something else about a person - their art, something or someone they love, or just an image they enjoy. It's ALL good, and the variety is one of the things about the Forum that is so much FUN! And fun is what this is all about.

I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT YOUR CHICKEN!!!!!!!
Dear Carol,
I had 2 pet chickens when I was a young child in grade school. We lived right in the middle of town!!!!They would get out of the yard and run over to the gas station and scare all their clients!!! - --They would then call us to come and get our roosters.
I got them as baby chicks and named one Rosalee not knowing that she would grow up and become a boy=rooster.
Dogs went after the 2 chicks, killed one and took a big hole out of Rosalee.
My memory as a young child was that I thought that I could heal it if I just stayed with it and gave it love.
...Rosalee lived (it seemed to be a miracle)... (and after that would attack anyone who came close to her/him except for me of course.)...
Interesting...wonder if I still believe that I can heal just by relaxing and showering myself or others with love??? At one time I believed that I had the power to create healing...I am going to see if I can uncover more TRUTHS that I was born with....
Abe tells us of Truths that we knew before we incarnated and I want to really remember them......
What great powers were you born with that you can remember??????

Just because there was a camera there does not mean that there was not an angelic presence there also!!!!!!!! I believe that there was angelic presence there=were not you and David there??????=TWO ANGELIC presences there I believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah! I like that! What she said!
Love,
Carol

Brightlight, your love gave your rooster a reason to live. No doubt about it!
My rooster is Gertrude. I get all my chickens as babies, so of course they
all have girl names. Actually, Gertrude was first named "Stella" but then
came to me during a healing ritual (long story) sat on my shoulder and
said, "I've been with you before, and I'm here to help because I'm special.
But you named me the wrong name. You can call me Gertrude." So of
course, I did. Then Gerturde started crowing! Gertrude is the most
Gentlemanly rooster I've ever owned. He will pick up the best of the organic
scraps and make sure the hens get them. When the hens don't want to be
mounted, he doesn't insist, the way many other roosters do. He's always
been a friendly, gorgeous bird. Don't get me started on my chickens, or I'll
go all night!
(don't even tempt me to bump old threads about my chickens!)

Wow is right!!! Can't really compete with that, but here is our latest offering - taken in a coffee house in Haifa last spring just before a VERY gooey dessert was consumed! Yum!
