Hello all -

I just found out about this forum a few days ago at an Abe Meetup in Seattle. If you live in the area, I highly recommend attending one of Radiant Raven's Meetups. It was great fun!

Abraham-Hicks has been an enormously joyful part of my life for about 5 years. I laugh about it now but, the truth is I almost dismissed it out of hand the first time I saw it.

Here's what happened...

For years before I had been interested in intention and manifestation. This was before I found Abraham. I experienced some very big intentional manifestations - nice homes with specific features, really cool jobs, and other very unique experiences. But I still didn't fully believe.

I decided to put it to the test. I hatched a plan to intend something so outlandish that if it came to pass there would be no doubt my intentions were creating my reality.

Every night, I focused on this intention: "I would like magical beings to come into my life who bring great benefits to me."

I'm not sure what I expected - maybe meeting a troop of elves in the forest - something crazy like that. I liked it for my test because it was so un-normal that if it happened, there would be no mistaking it.

About three weeks into it, I found my self in a book store. A book caught my eye - "Ask and It Is Given." It was recommended by Wayne Dyer so I picked it up.

The back cover had me very excited until I read the words, "Non-physical entity."

"Bunch of new age crap," I thought. I had had a weird experience with channeled entities before.  I tossed the book back on the table and started to walk away.

After three steps I stopped. "Haven't you been the one focusing on magical beings coming into your life?" I thought. I laughed at myself and went back for the book.

I read it right away.  My heart soared with joy. It instantly became my favorite book. And talk about magical beings that bring great benefits... Holy Cow!

I love realizing that if I hadn't allowed it it never would have happened.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Warmest regards,

- James

Welcome to this troop of magical beings!

Being playful is a top priority here.

As is sticking to your own, feel-good story.

ENJOY!

James, I totally love your story.  I think it's hilarious that you asked for magical beings - well you got it, big time!  Welcome, and have lots of fun!

Hello Leslie and James and everyone!

SO great to meet you at Radiant Raven's place last week.  And thank you to Raven for hosting!

James,  that is a great story.

It's funny because my introduction to Abe was through another group of magical beings in a psychic reading a couple years ago.  The woman doing the reading said her guides were suggesting Abraham Hicks to me.  I was in a place where I believed it had to be heaven sent so to speak.  I was bored with "mere mortal" teachers.  A I appreciate better now that wisdom and love are everywhere you see it!  Especially in this wonderful forum with all our wonderful selves::grapevine

Looking forward to more sharing.

PS:  I don't have a photo - yet.
