First-- Jody, the cruise countdown ticker is priceless.  ::heartsLoove It!::hearts

Second, I'm considering this cruise... and I'd likely bring family along (spouse & elementary school aged child).  I'm curious -- does anyone have thoughts on the Mexico cruise as to whether it might offer interesting shore excursions that are "family friendly"?

Hubby & son would enjoy the pool, no doubt, but even that might become a little stale after a few days...

All thoughts are welcome, and Jody-- let me know if this should be in an alternate thread.  ::thumb

kdcj1!

First, Scott gets the credit for the ticker! Thanks Scott!

And yes, of course there are MANY "family friendly" shore excursions!  I'm certain your family would have a wonderful time on the cruise!

On sea days, your son can take part in the kid's club activities on the ship as well!  We'll be on Princess line, and you can go to their website to check out what is available for kids on our ship, which will be the Sapphire Princess.  This will be the first Abraham cruise on that line so we don't have any first hand experience yet, but I'm sure you'll find a wealth of info from the line itself.  From what I understand, Princess is even more kid-friendly than Holland America was, and the kids on the HAL cruises had a blast... so yes.. again I'm certain you and your family would find lots of fun and appropriate activities!

Hope to see you on the roll call! ::thumb

First, you're welcome. They're fun to put together (because it's so easy).

I haven't cruised the Mexican Riviera, but stayed a week at an all-inclusive resort at Puerto Vallarta. It was a kids-free experience for my wife and me, but there were plenty of kid friendly things to do at the beach and places to tour in that one city.

Sounds like fun!

Dorothee, David and I are looking at the cabin categories.  Which suite did you decide on? It's fun to be going on a different cruise line after so many on HAL! They were great, but change is exciting!

Hi Jody,

I chose the VS-category, after all I think it might be just different floors between the different suite categories and I wanted to leave room for something more to want next time ::whistle

::money...

Wow, I'm so looking forward to it and I'm really happy that its only 8,5 months to go::ghost!!!!!

We will have a wonderful time, and doesn't the ship look really GORGEOUS???? ::boatwave

Ahhhhh, the fun of it!!!!!

Love and hugs,   aniheart::wideaniheart

Tracy! Welcome aboard!! How exciting!

Is anyone traveling with you that I should add to the role call or are you a solo cruiser?

CHRISTINE,IT WAS THE MOMENT .THAT FEELING I'VE EXPERIENCED MORE AND MORE OF MY ESCROW APPEARING INFRONT OF ME.
WE WERE AT THE SHORT ABE WORKSHOP IN LONDON YESTERDAY EVENING AND AT THE END SOME OF US WERE CHATTING AND TRACEY WAS TALKING ABOUT HOW MUCH THE CRUISE AS COSTING .NOW I'D LOOKED AT THE TAHITI ONE WHICH IS MUCH MORE AND AS SHE WAS BREAKING IT DOWN I SUDDENLY FELT IT.MY GOD I CAN AFFORD IT.IT'S MANAGABLE ,IT FELT DOWNSTREAM TO DO  IT,A REALIZATION THAT CREPT IN AND TODAY ,COMPLETELY OUT OF THE BLUE SOMEONE  AT WORK HAS BECOME ILL AND I'M COVERING THEIR NIGHTS AT SEPERATE EXTRA RATE AND THAT ALONE WILL PAY FOR MOST OF THE ROOM ,SO I COULD GET A BALCONY ONE....ARE MY NON-PHYSICAL STAFF MAD?..I THINK NOT !...
I AM SO COOL!!!!!!!
