| One place I always enjoy visiting in Sitka is the Raptor Center where they take care of and rehabilitate injured birds. You can catch a shuttle bus up to the Raptor Center. Stay for the presentations if you can and you will get to see an eagle up close. They are magnificent to see and amazingly weigh less than 10 pounds with a wingspan of six feet or so. There is a forested area with paths that wind down to a creek. In 2006 I saw a wild eagle swoop down and catch a fish. Attachment: 0068a (Small).JPG (Downloaded 19 times)
