Dorothee: I am loving your creativity about all of this!!!!! Thank you for launching this rocket of desire!
we could also just create a logo that people could download themselves and stick to their shirt with tape. We could use the gold logo, so beautifully designed above, in the upper left corner that says "The Abe Forum"

Hi Wonderful Workshop-Attending Enthusiastic Loving and Creative Forum Members!!
I love you all to pieces and I'm loving your excitement over all this...
However... (yeah, I know... ) ... the way to hook up with your Forum Friends who are attending a workshop is to come together in threads like this, and make a plan between you to meet before, at "segment of refreshment", or whatever.
You will be receiving a name tag when you register at the workshop, which displays your name boldly, so if your forum friends have not seen your picture, they will recognize you that way. The workshops are drawing hundreds of participants these days, so it can be "crowded". You can plan to meet at the front door to the hotel, the lobby, and so on, however...
Please no Forum "logos" or other nametags at the workshops - Scotty has his work cut out for him already, getting a view of each and every name tag/number as you enter the workshop - so let's keep that simple for him.
I just had another idea! I have participated for years in a Disney forum where people going to Walt Disney World recognize other forum members by wearing lime green ribbons! The lime green ribbon can be worn anyplace - in hair, draped over a purse, attached to the lapel, pinned somewhere on clothing... it's been going on for years, and seems to work great. Maybe something understated like this, and yet noticable, would be good for our Forum members?? Just a thought.
And don't forget... LOA is going to bring you together with your friends, AND get you some great new ones.
Oh, that reminds me of something else.. at my VERY FIRST Abraham workshop, before I actually knew anyone else in the world who knew about Abraham, I walked in, and sat down... and the woman who sat down next to me is now a very good friend even though it's across the miles. We just clicked and it was magic. We'd both sent up rockets of desire to sit in just the right place and meet just the right new friend, and Voila! (somehow that seemed apropos here...)

Thanks for the insider info Jody. I never thought about something as simple as a sticker that would interfere with Scotty's job. (Actually I didnt think about that being one of his jobs really....I know he's their driver, but they day I saw him he was dressed like he was the Hicks' bodyguard! Or maybe he's the head of the Joy Mafia or something! What a sweet man he is!!)
Anyway....a colored ribbon is a good idea!

Jen, that was really great, had me rolling around with laughter! (for all who don't know Scotty, he really is a big guy, and looks very impressive!).
Actually, I had the same thought, I would have never guessed that this might bring any problems, good to have some insider-knowing here around!
A yellow or green ribbon seems great to me! Really decent if you don't know what it means!
Love

Cool! Scotty seemed to have a good sense of humor! And he just grinned when I told him I recognized him from the story about how he got the job with the Hickses! He is a celebrity in his own right at Abe functions!

First I have to tell you this. Three years ago on my first Abraham cruise I did not own a camera, but I did have one in my cell phone. David saw me taking a picture of a glacier or something with my cell phone camera and he just about split a gut laughing at me! (yes, folks AT me! but that's okay... I also laughed with him, and it WAS pretty silly... and he had this really good camera with him, and I was thinking well, hey, I can take pictures too!... okay you had to be there... but the POINT is that he thought it was SO SILLY to take pictures with a CELL PHONE!!!...)okay so are you following?
So. Fast forward many road trips, cruises, and other experiences together, ALL of which David has faithfully documented and chronicled using his "real" cameras... and now we find ourselves out for dinner with our wonderful friends Scotty and Sandi... and - uh -huh... nobody has a camera!!! So... David took pictures WITH HIS CELL PHONE. (Please join me in laughing... WITH him... )
It was a definite Kodak moment outside the Chinese restaurant in Fort Lauderdale and David I APPRECIATE YOU for being willing to take these photos! (admittedly, cell phone cameras have improved since my glacier shooting days way back when...)
So with no further ado... here we are with the wonderful S's.

I'm pretty sure I took this one...
Oh, and I got Scotty that great shirt on St. Maarten, in return for his having done me a huge favor using his considerable acting talents! (if you are curious about what that was all about.. well.. you know what curiosity did to the cat... )

When you're out shopping (maybe something nice from Italy), I'll take a large or extra large...
We can take another group picture on the Alaskan cruise...guess you'd better get three!

Jody, you have good taste in clothes!
Those are pretty decent photos from a phone camera!
And heck yeah, we're curious as to what tricks Scotty 2 Hottie did to earn that shirt!
