Kalena, and everyone, we are in for SUCH a fantastic experience. With all this pre-paving going on.. it's going to be off the chart!!
Abraham often says that they are aware of us before we arrive at at workshop.. so I'm already trying to focus my questions and my desires - I know they will answer everything whether I'm in the hotseat or not... I've seen it happen on other cruises...
Sometimes it was almost scary how a group of us would discuss a question at a meal, and at the next seminar meeting Abe would address it as if they'd been sitting with us at lunch!! SO COOL!!!!
My suggestion for everyone - write down (don't necessarily post them, unless you want to) your questions for Abraham and spend 17 seconds on how nice it would be if they answered... being focused makes the experience even better. Although... just hanging out in the Vista lounge with no particular agenda and taking it all in is definitely a great experience too!!!

For the last six weeks or so, I've had a yellow pad that I've labelled A-H questions. When I think of a question I want to ask Abraham on the Cruise, I put it in that notebook. I can easily see that some are questions I REALLY want to ask! I don't have all that many, but some of the ones I do have keep coming up in slightly different forms over time.

Well, I can only speak for myself, but YES YES YES!!!
I am usually a "front row" person (might be an outcome of being height-challenged ) and at seminars, lectures, workshops, whatever, I always want to sit in front and not miss a thing.
At the first two Abe seminars I attended I did that and all was well.
Then came my first Abraham cruise. I sauntered into the Vista lounge all excited and started heading down to grab a seat in the very front.
Well... I got to the bottom of the banked seats and had about 10 more rows to go to get to the front... when something stopped me. I just could not walk another inch toward the front. It was like an energy wall. It was like beyond that point the energy was "too intense" for me.
This lasted throughout that cruise... and it wasn't until my third cruise that I could get into the "good seats"!!
At a seminar last year in DC something else happened. I did sit in the front row, just a few feet from Esther's raised platform and the hotseat. I was fine until Esther brought Abe in. Then I started to feel headachy, queasy, and dizzy, and Esther's face even started to morph a little before my eyes. I saw my father's face in Esther's at one point. It became so intense I had to get up and leave the seminar and get some air.
So yes, you can feel the energy. And NO, I'm certainly not saying you will have anything like that happen to you! Most of the time I felt wonderful, and the vast majority of people feel wonderful throughout!
It's intense, wonderful, and joyful.

, Jody!!! Just .
I'll add that for the only workshop I've been to so far (last May in Tarrytown, NY), I got to sit in the front row. It was great! I buzzed all the way through the workshop, and when I got back to my hotel that evening I could feel my vibration to the extent that it literally felt like the bed was shaking. I can only imagine how much that's magnified on a cruise. Kalena, you're going to LOVE soaking up the energy!
Feeling great just thinking about it, :dancer:

for interest in juneau you can google "mendenhall glacier visitor center" and read about the trails and facility available. there is also a web cam link there and the image of the glacier refreshes every 5 minutes. you should see all the ice bergs in the water right now.
anyone can take a bus to the glacier center for $12 round trip.
i've been keeping an eye on the glacier and the lake which has just started to thaw in this last week. this area is of particular importance to me this year because i will be kayaking on this lake when we are in juneau, and i will be able to stand next to the waterfall that you can see on the right and also paddle around any ice bergs that may be present that day and getting a rather close up view of the glacier is on my agenda also.

the glacier does not look nearly as big from the camera as when you are actually standing on it. so, go stand on it ::gone
my kayaking excursion is not available through the Holland America site.
if you go to my profile and then web page you can see my alaska pics from 2004, 2005, 2006. don't click on "all photos" but do click the individual albums.
i want to add that the very few minutes that abraham speaks in the orientation can be the most powerful words as it may seem that abraham is speaking directly to you (me) about focusing and desiring and shifting and the point that you have brought yourselves (myself) to..... and to be there embarking upon this fantastic voyage that will not only give us a tangible experience of how life is supposed to be.....we will not be left hanging as all week long abraham will be giving us ideas of how to align with and sustain such an ineffable/catalytic experience.
::surfer
goodnight for now,
Rick

Jody and Rick:
Thanks so much for sharing these experiences about Abraham. I am jumping up and down inside right now just thinking about it! Life is good!!!!!
And Rick,
Thanks so much about the info and for these links--I am really trying to figure out what to do at this stage, and absolutely love hearing about the inexpensive trips as well as the cool more expensive ones. I want to do maybe one really big trip, but I'd also like to be able to do fun stuff cheaply on most days where I can still get close enough to the nature to enjoy it. TUTU
And anyone, is it the case that there is always something you can get to from the port more or less on foot? Or are there some ports where if you're going to do anything, you have to go on an excursion. Thanks.

Becky, you can have a fantastic time without doing any of the extra excursions. They are wonderful and I'm not trying to discourage you from doing them -there are some really amazing ones! But to answer your question, yes, there are inexpensive things to do in each of the ports. In Juneau, as Linda said, there is a cable car taking you up to a mountain with incredible vistas and beautiful hiking trails. In Ketchikan you can see a loggers show (I hope to do that this time) which is said to be VERY entertaining... In Sitka there are interesting sites within walking distance of the port... I don't think you will be bored if you decide not to sign up for any excursions.

Thanks, Jody, this is really helpful! I don't want to "miss" Alaska and it is so good to know I'll be able to enjoy the beauty whether I take the excursions or not. The only other cruise I've ever been on was to the Carribean and at the ports there was really not a lot to do unless you booked an excursion.
Thanks again,
Bec
