Hi Shirley, hoped you join us here. Just ask any questions you have they are wonderful and will help you with anything. Hope you are joining us at the meet the first day. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Teddi, I completely understand and congratulations on the roommate.  I think I'm going to stay open also and see what happens.

Thanks for Rick and Jody for sharing about Friday. It sounds really fun. Ok I'll pack something nice so I can do formal night:)  It just keeps getting better and better.

See you all in 38 days::boatwave

I am excited about it!  I also get to see Abe in Denver, before the cruise.

I am so lucky!

On another note.....I am still looking for an outside cabin mate.

Injoy,

Constance

Hi  all.....

HI Constance....I'm another Coloradoan heading for Alaska! Hope we meet up at the forum gathering!! I have a question for you...or any of you experienced cruisers out there! With Abe here in Denver on 7/12...the weekend before the cruise... I'm wondering about going to the workshop. I adore Abe of course...would just love to go....AND I have tons to do in preparation for the cruise that weekend. I keep telling myself that I'll have plenty of Abe on the ship, I can miss this one workshop...but when I decide that....I feel like I don't want to miss them. (guess that's a clue eh? I feel a bit sad that I won't go...hmmmm)

Any feedback about all that? I'm truly in a quandry. (and I know there are no "big" decisions.... ::LOL   but I'm really going in circles with this.

Thanks and big hugs and WOOOOOOOOO just over five weeks to go!!!

Hi Donna

It's all good!  Whatever you decide to do will work.

Just remember to have fun with all this!

Why am I going to see Abe in Denver...then going on the cruise?  Cause I can!

Just because I want to.  Like, every cd I listen to, I hear things I havn't heard before, because I wasn't able to receive it in just the way I did.  Changing and expanding all the time.

Thanks for asking!

See ya,

Constance

I just got the information on our Forum Meet N' Greet on embarkation day.  I will PM each of you on the roll call as well.  Please RSVP to me by PM, or to this thread - whichever you prefer or both, to let me know:

1. That you are coming (of course you are!):)
2. Your "real" first name - if you want to be anonymous on the forum that's fine - as I said you can PM this info to me.
3. Number of guests - please keep in mind that although I've received permission for a larger group this time, we still need to have a count - so if you are planning to bring roommates/spouses/kids, etc. who are not forum members, please let me know that in your RSVP.  I'll be making nametags so we can recognize one another from our userid's and learn one another's names.

Here's the info about the meet-up.

Unless the group grows beyond the 40 we already have, I think we can still use the Crow's Nest port side room.  So for now, that's the venue.  It is located on Deck 10, all the way FORWARD.  This means that no matter where you are on the ship, if you take any elevator to deck 9 and then walk all the way forward, through the big pool area and into the spa reception area you will come to some stairs and the forward elevators - from there it's one flight up. (If you happen to be in the forward elevators you have direct access to deck 10, no stairs necessary)

Sail-away is at 4 PM!  Life-boat "muster" drill is at 3:15.  So... our Forum members Meet N' Greet will take place at 2 o'clock!!

We'll hear announcements at 3 for the drill, so no worries about missing it! That will give us an hour to have a drink and some good conversation and set our intentions and laugh and play with our fellow-forum members.
We've arranged for a waiter to be present to take our drink orders (drinks will be charged to your individual room accounts), and complimentary cookies or snacks and water will be provided.

For those of you first time cruisers, when you board the ship (which you can do anytime from about 11 AM on), you will be directed up to the Lido (for sure will be open) and/or the Vista dining room (might be open) for lunch.  Your stateroom will not be ready or accessible until about 1 PM, and an announcement is made that the ship's hallways are open.  If you have booked a suite (SC, SB, SA, or PS) you can go directly to the Neptune Lounge on deck 7 rather than the Lido or dining room.  At about 1, everyone can go to their stateroom and settle in and even start unpacking if your luggage is there already.  If it's not, don't worry, it will be there when you get back from the meetup, or the muster drill... or the Abraham intro later in the afternoon.
If you board after 1 PM, of course you can go directly to your stateroom.
Then at 2 (or a little before), make your way to Deck 10 Forward - Crow's Nest port room.  That's the room behind the Crow's nest bar.  You can't miss it!
I'll be in the Neptune lounge from about 11:30, and I'll go up to the CN at about 1:30 to set up the chairs - if anyone is available to help with that, please join me - those chairs are heavy!
I'm really looking forward to seeing you all there!  If there are any questions please post here or PM me.
What fun we are all going to have! And the more anticipation and prepaving the BETTER!
