This game is inspired by:

We were talking with a woman on the telephone the other day about pure thought and she couldn’t really understand what we were talking about. These are difficult concepts when you are accustomed to just thinking about whatever is flashed before you. In other words, most of you as you watch the television, it is much easier just to just observe what someone is offering to you rather than it is to close your eyes and offer your own projection of thought.

And so we were wanting to assist her in holding 17 seconds of pure thought. She had three very important issues that were troubling her; financial issue and a health issue and a relationship issue. And we said to her; “Leave those issues aside for a while, because those issues you have practiced your negative thought about them so much, that as you now try to practice positive thought it is still a watered down sort of process.

We said to her: “Lets take three subjects that you do not already have a habit of negative thought about”. Well, she couldn’t think of any. We said: “Just three subjects, they do not have to be life changing subjects, just three subjects that are of interest, but you do not have a negative habit about”.

Well, she still couldn’t think of anything so we said: “Lets talk about the subject of blue glass”. She said: “What?!?” And we said: “Blue glass. You know, some of it is clear and you can see through it. Some of it is muted or frosted and you can’t see through it. Sometimes it is made into beautiful chandeliers or beautiful windows, or beautiful vases. All kinds are made from this beautiful clear or frosted blue glass”.

And then we talked about feathers for 17 seconds and butterflies for 17 seconds.

And then the telephone call came to an end and Jerry and Esther were in California, they were in San Diego and so they went to La Hoya for lunch. And when they got out of the car, Jerry is walking down the street toward George’s and Esther is walking into a shop and Jerry could not understand why she was taking a detour and Esther did not really understand it either, she just said: “Lets look in here”.

And so they went in and deep in the shop, Esther found a wall of the most amazing blue glass she had ever seen in her life. Shelf after shelf after shelf of amazing sculptures made of blue glass. Jerry did not understand why Esther was captivated by it because he had not heard the call and Esther did not make the correlation either. And they didn’t buy anything, it wasn’t appropriate for their house, it was just AMAZING blue glass!

They had lunch and went to the park and as they were entering the park, they were surrounded by a flurry of butterflies. Esther still did not make the correlation.

And as they were leaving about 15 minutes later, a little boy, an oriental boy, looked to be about two or three years old, had found a little pigeons feather on the ground - and he was holding it at his full extension of his arm running toward Esther to show it to her. And it was not until then, that Esther realized that in less than one hour of ours spending 17 seconds together on those three subjects, that the Universe had managed to deliver in DRAMATIC FASHION all three subjects.

- Abraham-Hicks : "Only 17 seconds from your true desires!"

I think this will really strengthen that sense of “rapport” with the Broader Perspective and while really getting to have fun with LOA.

So here’s the game:

Step One: choose three easy subjects (i.e. let them be something you have no resistance about like seeing butterflies, blue glass, or a feather)

Step Two: contemplate each subject in appreciation for 17 seconds

Step Three: come back and report how the items/experiences appeared in your life

Step Four: choose your next three easy subjects

my subjects:

1) bubbles!!! i love those bubbles you blow through those plastic blowers...i love the way you can see colors when the sun is hitting the bubble in a certain angle...they're just so much fun to play with and watch as they float about and then POP! they're so much fun! i remember last year i bought some chocolate scented one's and strawberry scented one's and played with them outside with my friend. i don't think you can ever get too old for bubbles!

2) Pad Kee Mao! i love this thai rice noodle dish. it's so tasty. it's so light but full of so much flavor. i love how the rice noodles feel in my mouth. and there's this restaurant in the city that makes it with fried bean curd and it just enhances the flavor so much more. i love the taste of the fried bean curd. it's fluffy and flavorful. i think it's the basil that gives it the delicsious flavor that it has. oh, and the chili! so good! and this one restaurant makes it so great every single time. they usually serve it with other vegetables and it's always been an amazing dish for me to experience. thai food seems to always make great use of flavors and textures.

3) birds! i love birds. i remember once i saw this humming bird buzzing in my backyard. it was the coolest thing to see this tiny creature hovering in the air. i love seeing birds. so many varieties, colors, and sounds. they're always so free just flying about from fence to tree to air. they are such beautiful expressions that my eyes and heart just loves feasting upon. i love the fall season because it's at this time that i watch the flocks of geese and ducks fly south in all sorts of formations way up above my head.

Here we go!

Dalmatians: I had a dalmatian when I was a kid. I love them! They are so playful and fun to watch. I remember her like I had her just yesterday. She had a black ear and eye, it was so cute. I love seeing other people with dalmatians because I know they love them just as much as I do. They can be such good fun!

A nice suit: I love seeing people dressed well. It makes me happy to look at them and know they don't have any resistance towards nice things. It's just so nice to see that and to know that I will be there soon myself. It's fun to imagine myself in such a nice suit.

Butterflies: Butterflies are fun to watch flutter around. They are just so peaceful and know that their life is taken care of. They have such magnificent designs on their wings. To watch one is like watching the love of source just flying around without a care in the world. They are just so serene.

And on with my day! :)

1. Butterflies- I love butterflies, I love knowing these special creatures make it easier for us to understand the process of how things work. I love how they are once a Caterpillar all cute and fluffy bound to the earth, then transform into a beautiful creature with wings and the ability to fly. I love my pretty butterfly tattoo on my back, every time i look at it i feel so free and great!!!

2. Candles- I love candles. I love scented candles, i love colorful candles, i love just simply being with candles in the same room. I love the feeling of lighting the candles and i love watching the glowing flame dance around in its own unique rhythm. I love staring into the flame and being still for a few moments. I love how the wax drips down the side of the candles. I even love the smell of blowing the candle out.

3. Toonies -(Canadian 2 dollar coin)- I love that i can walk down the street and look down at exactly the right time and there before me is a toonie. I love being able to put my toonies in my "money for fun box" I love how i have manifested these little guys all over the place.I love watching my money grow! I love knowing i have created a toonie i can create any amount of money to withdrawl from the universe.

This is so much fun!

1. Lilacs - Lilacs are my favorite-smelling flower. They are so fragrant and so beautiful. Their wonderful smell reminds me of spring. When I smell a lilac, it's pure heaven to me. I also love the color of lilac. It's such a perfect color of purple. There is nothing more beautiful to me than a lilac.

2. Frogs - I think frogs are the coolest creatures. They are so cute with their tiny little faces. I love how quick they are in the water. I used to have the best time catching frogs when I was little. Now my son loves to look for frogs too. It's so much fun for our whole family to go looking for frogs. LOL. But it's true! They're very fun!

3. Yellow rain jacket - I don't even know why I picked this. LOL. I love the color yellow. It's bright and vibrant and represents sunshine and happiness to me. And raincoats - I mean, how fun are they??? I love the thought of putting on a yellow raincoat and splashing in the puddles outside. I love how the drops of rain just stick and gently slide down on the raincoat. How beautiful is that?

1.  tiramisu - what a beatiful name for the best dessert i ever put in my mouth.  i love all the complex flavors of the authentic style italian tiramisu.  i love it so much i even had my wedding cake made out of it.  yummy yummy yummy.  better than kisses.  i love how my dad always made sure we saved room for dessert so that i always do that now!!

2.  coconut trees - when i see a coconut tree i think of sunshine and caribbean beach bands.  their mystery inspires big questions, like, WHOA can i climb this one coconut tree??  can i make a coconut fall down if i shake shake shake the tree?  oooh can we break it open and eat it??  who has a hammer? is there really coconut milk in there ?!?  :)

3. hopscotch - oh how i loved this game!  i love getting out the huge bucket of pastel chalk and drawing out my squares!!  the bigger the concrete space the better - i could make my hopscotch game stretch as long as i wanted!  and draw fun pictures around my squares and make huge curly numbers.  i wanted to get a running start so i could hop my way as fast as i could!

What a Lovely Game ::tramp

Mine will be

1. Homemade Toffee - I have so many lovely and yummy memories around homemade toffees - stalls at school - school fetes - stickjaws yummy - I loved the slightly vinegarry taste with the sugar - the glasy texture - the taste of the soggy patty pans!

2. Kittens - who doesn't love kittens - their sweet little faces - their total abandon when they play - their softness and innocence and total fearlessness and crazy antics.

3. A Toucan - when I was 11 I had a beautiful T-Shirt with hot-pink sleeves (it was the 70s) and a gorgeous big bright toucan appliqued on a black background - I loved that T-Shirt (looked great with my hotpants!)

1. Old English Sheepdogs - They are so lovable! I love their huge furry paws and their happy faces. They are so gentle and full of joy. They look like extremely happy mop heads! I want to hug them all!! ::hugging
2. The library - There is really a place where I can look up any book I want, take it home, and then return it. I'm free to peruse, browse and learn all day long if I like. I have access to books of all kinds. And it is so close to where I live! How convenient!
3. The city where I live - It is so refreshing every time I walk outside. This place nourishes me and heals me. I'm in love with the bridges, the moss covered buildings and sidewalks, the rain, the beautiful victorian homes, the interesting people who live here and how easy it is to walk anywhere I want to go. It is so beautiful here and I appreciate every minute of my life in the gorgeous city.

I read this thread a couple of days ago and it reminded me of the last time I tried this experiment, a few months ago.  I had only chosen one item then - Russian dolls, the kind that nest inside each other.

Interestingly, I remember that they didn't manifest until I had completely forgotten that I had asked to see them.  I think I must have been trying too hard to manifest them and was looking too hard for them, so they didn't appear.  But when I forgot all about them and didn't have strong feelings one way or the other about them appearing or not appearing, they finally appeared.

And now, after having read this thread, which simply caused me to remember how I felt when I tried the experiment before, I have been seeing the Russian dolls again, multiple times, even though I haven't been asking to see them again.  I have just been remembering how it felt when I saw them before, which I think is attracting them again.  ::chin

That was fun and enlightening!  :)

you're bang on diva! i notice that the things i forget about completely end up coming into my experience faster than the things i keep wondering and thinking about.

manifestation report:

the birds i saw were awesome. i walked out of my office to see a flock of birds (no idea what kind) swooping to the left, then to the right, and then altogether moving in a kind of circle. then they sat on the wire for 10seconds and did the WHOLE thing again. i was smiling like a goof at the bus stop knowing that THAT was all for me.

on a totally unrelated find, today i saw a dolphin shaped cloud...that left me once again smiling like a goof at this wonderful message from Source.

and it also reminds me of the blissful moment when a dolphin gave me a hug and a peck at this ocean-world park in the dominican republic...i LOVE these reminders and signs!

life is swimmingly sweet!

What a fun game, I'm in.

1)Swimming pool smell. I love the smell of chlorine that wafts into my nostrils as I get closer to the pool. I can hear the echoing sound of laughter, whistles and splashing and it makes me feel so warm and healthy. When I'm at home, I take my swim suit and towel up to my face and breath in deeply, the smell of the water and I feel so safe and healthy and young.

2)The smell of coffee brewing. I love the smell of freshly brewing coffee wafting down the hallway. I love the bubbling sound of the maker, signaling it's time to start the day. I love the coming together that I see among my family/friends and I around a cup of warm coffee. I love the deep, rich dark color of black with a hint of brown of a strong cup of coffee.

3)New Clothes. I love the smell of new clothes from the department stores. I love the crispness and vibrancy of the clothes before they are washed, and the way they look the best on me when they're brand new and never worn yet, still so stiff and soft and pressed.

been playing for the past few days- had a friend of mine pick my "objects"

the first was a wooden boat- I used the 17 second timer and thought about the boat- the next day I went to see my therapist - I have been seeing her almost weekly for over a year now...and mid sentence- I notice that in the painting above her head was a little wooden boat tied to the doc- however it was missing the oars that I had inluding in my thoughts- does this count?.

:oars:..she said it did so I asked her to give me the next one....she chose a hawiian lei

got out the timer and wrote about it for the 17 seconds- twice-

I was just now channel surfing and stopped on CLEAN HOUSE  during on of the fast forwards of the show- one of the hosts pulled out two leis out of a drawer and quickly shoved them back in----- does this  one count????::stardust

i love that the boat you saw had no oars..since Abe always says "let go of the oars"

and yes, i think that totally counts since they are the objects you focused on and then saw ::devil

Heehee, I just had a thought. If we are reading each others posts and visualizing it when we read it won't we also be manifesting each others stuff? I dunno, does it take 17 seconds to read a post? Just a thought lol.

Ok, here's mine,

1. a piece of pink fuzzy yarn. The really soft kind, that almost feels like rabbit fur when you touch it. I can see it in a sweater, or rolled up in a ball, or maybe just a stray piece of it. It's just really really soft and fuzzy.

2. A green piece of candy! It could me a choclately M&M or a skittle, or a runt, but whatever it is it's bright green and edible. The green is really really bright, like lime green or spring green and I just wanna eat it!

3. A 1967 penny! I have no clue why but that is popping in my head so that's what I will focus on. It can be shiny, or dull or dirty or clean but it says 1967 on it clearly. I can see me picking it up and reading the date!

Well last time I played this game about 6 months ago - the things manifested within a day - this time its different (I think thats cos I havent Let It Go - but today I did get 1 of my 3 - Toucan was the answer in a crossword I was doing with my sweetie, and I loved that it manifested that way! - kittens and toffees (and many other great things) are on their way!!!! The thing is I now know now that it is not some kind of test to  prove LOA  - this how it ALL works anyway - and I am feeling patient and trusting these days!

I had the delicious smell of coffee fill up my car after I went grocery shopping. As I was enjoying the smell, I remembered my 17 seconds about the smell of coffee and I smiled.

I meant to post my three things before but then got distracted, but here are the things I intended to manifest a week ago and they all came true within a few days:

1.
I wanted to manifest a free weekly planner for my appointments at work for the year 2009.  They are about $20. I asked a couple people who work in offices but they didnt know about getting them free anywhere (unlike calendars). So yesterday I decided to just go online and buy one, without giving it any more thought. It arrived today and it turned out to be larger than I thought (letter size). I usually get half letter size. So I thought, let me call customer service about an exchange.  She was very nice and said there would be no charge to have UPS return the item. Then she looked for what I wanted, but it turned out they dont carry a smaller version. So she said I could just keep the one I have and she credited my visa!!! So I DID get a free planner afterall!!! I didnt care about the size when I asked the universe, I only specified FREE and printed hourly time slots and I got it after all, isnt that cool?!

2. Carrot cake
Three days after I thought how much I would love to have some carrot cake I got some free at work from a party they gave there. The employees get the leftovers. They hadnt had any in months - other cakes yes, but not carrot cake.

3. Hear a song from a band popular in the 70's which I love which wasnt even popular here in the US. I turned on the TV the next day and they played the song during a segment of a modern sitcom.
