I still fail to get this whole thing going, to get this - my life - going. I did sooo many things, but it seems I'm doing something wrong. When I look around I notice that there are very few who are on a roll so to speak, at least many of you can enjoy some aspects of your life, and maybe that it's not that bad afterall. I don't know.

I would really love to know how long did it take for you to get this all going?

Thank you,

Timo

I've just started getting things really rolling, so to speak.  I still have trouble here and there but it's gotten so much better!

So here's my story.  Last summer I was introduced to The Secret.  That totally blew my mind and shortly after, when trying to dig deeper, I found Abraham Hicks.  I became addicted to their teachings and despite the warnings about quantum leaps, I quit my 9-5 job (for a variety of other reasons as well) and went to pursue my dreams as a photographer.  It started off ok but then not truly understanding the essence of the LOA I began focusing on politics, economy, news, etc.  Needless to say shortly thereafter everything pretty much dropped out from under me and I was pretty bad off.  Around January I began losing a lot of hope and started looking for answers anywhere I could find them.  I doubted the whole LOA process and especially Abe because I was putting on a happy face but wasn't getting happy scenarios.

I begged the universe (I figured there was still something out there) to give me proof that LOA was real and to show me people that actually believed in it since I still hadn't met any.  That very night someone outside of the people I already knew on Facebook added me and it turns out both him and his wife are big believers in Abe and LOA.  That got me thinking a little bit because it seemed like a pretty big coincidence and about a month later, still searching for answers, I just happened to be led back to the teachings of Abe.  I was listening to a recording late in February and heard someone saying that she heard something Abe said in the background and all of a sudden it just 'clicked' for her and she just started laughing hysterically for 20 minutes and wasn't even able to stop!  I thought how nice that would be and just went on with my day.  On March 11th, after my fiance left for work, I did my usual routine of processing some photos and listening to Abe that morning.  Within five minutes of listening it all of a sudden hit me like a ton of bricks!  I just started laughing at everything that I had been so worried about.  Bills, NSF charges, lack, jobs, work - anything that had gotten me down just from out of nowhere I saw as hilarious!  I was laughing hysterically just like the girl on the recording and I couldn't stop at all!  ::LOL

I still remember that day vividly because I feel like I hit a new milestone in my life and I haven't been the same since.  In listening to the recording again Abe says that most people only experience that kind of laughter when they 'croak' and they release all the pain that they had in the physical.  Ever since then I've seen things slowly but surely build up right where I want them.  I don't create out of need anywhere.  I don't ever focus on lack.  My bank account has been positive.  And just this month I've had tons of manifestations making their way into my experience and the future is looking amazing for me!  I'm loving every second of my life and of course the contrast and I'm eager for more!  ::downstream

So hopefully I didn't ramble on too long but that's my story.  So to answer your question it took about 9 months for it to 'click' and about 4 months after that I'm really starting to notice some fantastic things!  ::tramp

If you're focused on "doing," it'll be a long time. Spend as much time as you can on the feeling part of this. Feel what you want, describe it, tell stories about it, talk with people who already have it.

When you are firm on the "why," the "how" will just happen.

I literally had evidence within minutes of my first contact with LOA. And I have more every day -- I'm in my 15th year with Abe.

I guess that's another point I was trying to make - don't expect overnight results because that will prompt you to keep score.  And when you keep score you focus on what's not there more than what's coming.  As Lee said - just feel what you want and enjoy where you are.

Hey Timo ::wave
You've already gotten some great respsonses here, for sure!

Abe teaches that we never get it wrong because we never get it done. So, you're not doing anything wrong! Honestly the best thing you can do for yourself is chill out, my friend!

Like Lee, I started applying what I learned immediately and saw some really nice results. Admittedly, the things that I manifested in the beginning were small things like free parking spots, free drinks, bargains while shopping. I think that those little button-type manifestations served as "training wheels' for me.

I've been with this for about a year and a half now, and my life experience has been so much better than it was before. I don't make "work" out of all of this, I don't take it so seriously and I will also admit, that I will go days without doing any processes other than thinking better thoughts.

The other thing that has been really helpful to me has been looking back on my pre-Abe life and seeing how I was already deliberately manifesting things without even knowing it. I manifested all expense paid trips to Japan, France, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and French Polynesia well before I'd ever heard of LOA. There are other things too, but the point is that by taking the time to look back at everything I've already accomplished so easily, the things I want these days kinda seem like small potatoes. The better it gets, the better it gets!

I hope that helps you a little!

My darling mom introduced me to Abraham in early 2006.

Here I am, two and a half years later: I own and reread all the books, subscribe to the (now) bi-weekly CD program, and am really, seriously committed to Getting This Stuff. (ETA: by "this stuff" I mean Abraham's teachings, not "stuff" as in "new shoes and some ponies!" - hee!)

To be honest, I still feel like I'm just barely starting to get a handle on it. In my better moods, I think that's okay: I'm curious and brainy and stubborn, and I like to know the details of how things work, not just be told that they do. In my less-great moods, I sometimes think of people who are Abe wunderkinds and feel bad about myself, or sometimes Abraham will say things about getting their teachings that make it sound like they think you should be able to do it easily, and overnight. And that tends not to feel so great, because I really am doing my best, and parts of it are still very much a work in progress.

But you know, there's really no point in comparing yourself to someone else, whether it's Abraham, or another Aber. As a yoga teacher I once knew said, "Don't look at where other people are at. It doesn't help." She was specifically talking about stretching, and comparing your own flexibility to that of others, but I think that's good advice for every area of life!

Plus, as Abraham likes to remind us, there's never any real way of knowing where anyone else is, vibrationally. There's just no point in comparing your journey to anyone else's - unless you find that comparison somehow helpful. Otherwise, practice hootlessness. (I'm working on that one, myself.)

A huge thing I'd like to share is that in the two and a half years I've been Abeing away, I have become MUCH MUCH MUCH happier. If I were to never manifest anything else (not that I believe that!) becoming about 200x more cheerful is absolutely worth it.

I've been into Abe for a few years now, so don't really remember the early days too clearly, but I remember that the biggest turning point was when I decided that feeling good was more important than physical manifestations. Before I'd always be taking score, and feeling discouraged because the things I'd been focusing on hadn't manifested, which made me doubt everything. Now I've stopped doing that (mostly!), and it's a big relief (and yes, I've had more manifestations too).

Other than that, I've found that my understanding and feeling of 'being on a roll' has just gradually intensified as time as has gone on - not because I've been 'working' at it (i.e. really studying the materials, doing processes etc - because I don't usually do any of that. The only thing I do regularly is to try to find the best feeling thought). I think just listening to the CDs quite regularly (usually while doing other things) has meant I've absorbed it, and have gradually been releasing resistance and gaining more clarity without really trying, which is perfect because I'm very lazy and hate working at this kind of thing in a structured way - that feels way upstream. New insights and inspirations just seem to pop up regularly. I certainly haven't 'got it all together' yet, but it doesn't matter because I'm enjoying life right now, and feel quite excited about where I could be with all this in a year, a decade etc. I still have resistance in some areas, and don't always feel good (who does?), but overall things are great. For me, getting to this point has just come with time, with accepting that I don't have to 'get it right' and be some kind of textbook-perfect deliberate creator, with knowing that it's ok to feel bad, because I always come out the other side with some new insight, and with not taking it all too seriously. Most of all, don't make it into work - only do processes etc if you feel really inspired to!

Hi Timo, :)

As you can see, here we can read great answers and experiences from people around the world, so I guess you’ll figure out soon how to get aligned.

If  I understood well, you are probably in kind of "hard" situation and you might been waiting for "results". Most of us have been there... At least, I had.

I am only few months the "active" new-Aber, and I also used "to do things" for about one year, before I understood  the point -  it’s  all about joy.  It’s all about your feeling (s). Nothing else matter.

If you are not able to "locate" the point, the activity in your life, or the relationship ... which makes you feel good - than you probably got stuck among many of "should do" and "have to" and "must do"...  And before you relax and find something which will make you feel better there is very small possibility that any Abe process will "work for you".

The great processes which Abraham suggests are given to help us finding relief, achieving balance and to feel better... But if you apply them too purposely - only to gain something - money, car, house - there is no quick,  satisfying and - lasting result.

For example, in this very moment one person could have serious problem with regular monthly income - with money. There are two possible mistakes to be made

1. to focus on lack of money (which is common mistake I guess for most of beginners) and this issue has been discussed very often here

2. to overlook more serious  problem which prevent us to allow wealth (or something else we are asking for).

For instance, I always thought I had The Money problem, but as I get trough Abe processes I concluded that I absolutely have NO problem with money - my problem was that I didn’t know what I want to do, and I was systematically blocking the flow of abundance. Actually, I was blocking everything – wealth, health, love…any kind of joy.

By my opinion, if you want to create deliberately, there is only one thing you should do - to be absolutely honest with yourself - not in order "to see reality" (we already have this insight and it very often prevent us of allowing things to happen), but to understand your real desires, to be able "to order"  what you want  and to allow it enter into your life.

Everything you are asking for  is already done, is already given... and all you have to do is to understand if this (you asked for) is what you really want, if it is what makes you feel good… or you are asking for it just to, for instance, fulfill others people expectations.

Hope this would help a little.
Have faith and do what you really enjoy to. ::tramp

Goddess Next Door - thank you!

My fiance and I just started talking about honeymoon destinations for next April and what you said just made my life so much easier!

I manifested all expense paid trips to Japan, France, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and French Polynesia well before I'd ever heard of LOA.
We both agreed French Polynesia would be the perfect place for a honeymoon!  Right now cost is the only thing keeping her from being onboard about going there but it's her ultimate destination (she isn't a LOA practicer).  I kept looking at plane tickets seeing if there was a cheaper way but you just reminded me there's a MUCH cheaper and easier way!  ::LOL  ::TU ::TU

Hey Timo!

I was first introduced to "The Divine Matrix" by Gregg Braden and "The Secret" last summer.  Then a month later, I was given the Abraham-Hicks introduction cd by a psychic at a reading I had.  I remember listening to that and feeling like I was coming home; everything made perfect sense.

I started out with little things that were easy to manifest - free drinks, specifically colored butterflies I had imagined, compliments, etc.... but it was harder in the beginning to manifest "bigger" things.  I often felt frustrated like I wasn't doing it right but I continued listening to some of the Abe cd's and really internalized the teachings.  After being so frustrated at taking score so early on, like Sapphire, I finally made the decision that how I feel is the most important thing and that was definitely the turning point.  It really is about how you feel!  Ever since then I have been doing a lot of "inner work" and cleaning up my core issues and anything else that needs it and today, wow, I am genuinely very happy and I get evidence from the Universe to back it up every day.  I feel so free now, that I don't even need to depend on the manifestations to be happy because I am empowered and have the ability to be happy under any circumstances - that is true freedom!

It's been really wonderful and I'm looking forward to allowing more of what is held in escrow for me.

Beautifully stated, Stella.

There is a significant shift that happens when you really get that it's all about JOY, about feeling the best you can regardless of circumstances. There is so much to appreciate!

Seeking relief directly is so powerful and so satisfying. Seeking stuff to find relief seems completely ridiculous after awhile. When you get to the point where the manifestations feel like extras, like icing on the cake, they flow in effortlessly (and you won't be in the least bit surprised because, by that point, you expect things to go well for you.)

It's fascinating to watch the evolution and the integration of the teachings into my life. I've only known about Abraham/LOA for a year and a half and I wouldn't trade what I've come to know for ANY THING. I have a strong sense of my power and genius and importance and collaborative abilities. I've never been happier more consistently (and the scale just keeps amplifying upward). I'm so curious about what's next!

I'm blissed out on the leading edge, enjoying contrast/diversity more than ever.

Jump in with both feet! You won't regret it.

What lee wrote is SO important and true that I had to make it BIG & BOLD!  Oh... & Red!

I know that I pushed and squirmed and studied and listened and journaled and this and that etc. etc. etc.!

Everytime I THOUGHT I was really getting it, some new revelation would appear!

Then I stopped forcing myself and measuring myself and my outcomes.  I just started enjoying my beingness!

I slowed down, and expanded faster!  It's hard for me to explain, because I'm an action oriented DO-ER!

I allowed myself to do nothing.  I allowed myself to meditate, which was pretty difficult for me to do!  Then I realized that each time I did it, I was clearer and more focused.

It's all about letting go of the oars!  It's not about the DO, or the HOW.  It's all about the WHY!

We're all different perspectives, so it will be something different for each of us, I'm thinking.... But I'm guessing the sooner you let go of the oars, the faster it will come!  (even though it is never done!)
