More from the incredible cruise last week:
Notes on Notes:
Where quotation marks appear I am as certain as I can be that I was able to transcribe Abraham's words exactly into my notes. Where there are no quotations, consider it my paraphrasing of what I heard them say.- J.
Talking with a guest about children (can't remember the question! But the hotseater was a mother with 4 children. Abraham spent quite a while helping her move up the scale in the case of each of them) - Abraham said that kids are using their childhood experiences to put stuff into their vibrational escrow. The are not supposed to have it all figured out! And they repeated one of the most important things that we often forget: "You cannot create in the life experience of another". Not even in the life experience of your kids! One of her children is 19 years old and has big swings in emotion - sometimes all the way to what sounds like the brink of suicide. Abraham reminded her that no matter how bad it gets, ALL negative emotion is guidance. Telling him that he's departed from who he really is. And they mentioned that when anyone is in a place that dramatic, they simply CANNOT hear your words, no matter how brilliant they may be.
When the guest began to discuss her daughter, who I believe was about 10, Abraham said: "Girls are always more advanced in their self-destruction than boys".

I appreciate that message from them. Since Abraham has come into my life, so has this realization...
This is an exchange I can't wait to hear on the cd!
Thank you, Jody!

Hi Jody, Thanks for the workshop/cruise notes. I find it interesting that Abraham said: " Girls are always more advanced in their self-destruction than boys". Can you tell me what you think of that. Would it be in connection that girls are usually found in the victim role during a physical life time? Would love to hear your take on that.
Thanks, Jackie

I interpret this as we females have always been and are so much more willing to allow others opinions of us to affect us, and we start this behaviour much earlier than boys do.
Not any more ladies, this girl knows her own power.

The truth is, that quote about girls appears in bold and in quotes in my notes - I was taken aback by it a bit, but then neglected to write any more clarifying notes on it! I guess we'll have to wait for the recordings to get a clearer picture of what Abe meant by that. I do recall that they "explained", but I can't for the life of me remember what they said - sorry about that!
If I had to guess, being the mother of two grown boys, followed by a now teen-aged girl.. I'd say that girls tend to be a bit more dramatic and tied into what others think than boys.
(But that's a generalization and I generally don't like to generalize!! )
Also, from what I do remember, the girl being asked about was quite young - a pre-teen, whereas her brothers who were discussed were older, so Abraham may just have been refering to the fact that girls "mature" earlier, and therefore start having certain types of issues earlier?

How interesting... could it be because we are more emotional than men, and sometimes we let our emotions control our lives, instead of the opposite...
Just a thought.

Jody-
Thanks for notes, they are great!!
The comment about girls surprised me also. Did they make a joke out of it? So many times I have heard them comment that they will not join us in our ideas of gender roles, or specific traits of men v. women. They often say it is just another way that we humans judge each other.
I am so glad you and Carol and others had a fabulous time!!! Keep the notes coming, we love them!!!
