Some like them hot some like them cold, some like Simon like them in the closet nine days old. Most of us really enjoy them, some of us think they are silly... some just need one or two and some want more more more! Oh, what do DO???
And what am I talking about?
EMOTICONS of course!!!
Those addictive little guys that make our posts POP!!!
So here's a poll... just to see where we are all at on this...
My vote is for the MORE THE BETTER!! I appreciate all David's work finding and uploading them to the forum so I just have to point and click... but I know others would like them to disappear, or at least be fewer so their editor can upload more quickly...:P
Everybody gets a vote! So on with the poll.... (it appears at the top of this thread!)

The voting is back on!! Please vote everyone!
I made a mistake in the length of poll - I thought "zero" would leave no time limit, but apparently you have to delete the "zero" and leave that field blank. So I'm learning... thanks again Joy.

Dear Jody,
I absolutely love the little emoticons
They really do express many unsaid feelings and words.
Keep them rollingTU

I love the emoticons & would be happy to see more, although I'm also happy with the selection we have now.
However it can be a little irritating when I'm posting a reply & the editor takes a while to load (and I have a very fast connection) - although so far this has been less of a problem here than on the old AH forum. If there was some way of being able to start writing a post while the emoticons are still loading in, rather than having to wait until they're all done, that would be ideal!

Well, at first when I came to this forum I thought the little icons looked childish, but now I really like them a lot. I'm satisfied with what we have not, but if others have rockets of desire for more, I wouldn't complain! ::juggler
Thank you for all the work I know it takes to make a forum like this so nice a place to come to. I might never get any work done! It's more fun here!

Hey everyone,
there are at any moment exactly the right number of emoticons, even if the number is changing. Everybody just chooses....... all the time. It doesn't really matter!

I'm on the fence on this one. We have enough......but.....they are always new ones that can be added...........;)
Have an outstanding everyday,

I know it's technically off-topic here but I decided to move the poll to this forum today in hopes that more people will see it and vote!!

When I first started posting on the other forum I found the emoticons quite distracting but I must admit that I missed them when the forum closed.
I think we have a wonderful selection and even I may even consider using them now and then.
Cheers

I think they are fun, I just don't know how to add them to my post. I agree, there are always the perfect amount and its up to each person to put in their pie or not. I also haven't noticed anything loading slowly, hope I don't now that I am aware. haha

Hi Jody,
I will go along happily with the majority . I do have to say tho, sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. ::hug and a ::hug can make all the difference in how a reply is read and recieved.
